HUGE crowds are expected to flock to this year's Feckfest which takes place at Feckenham Cricket Club on Sunday.

It's the third year running the annual musical festival has taken place and organisers are optimistic this year's Feckfest will be bigger and better.

Rising covers band Happy Accident are this year's headline act and will be joined by 12 local live acts.

Feckfest will coincide with the annual cricket match when St Augustine's take on arch rivals Bridley Moor with the action scheduled to start at 12.30pm.

Both teams will be playing for the Simon Ward Trophy in memory of the former St Augustine's student who sadly lost his battle with cancer earlier this year.

As a consequence, this years funds raised from Feckfest will be split between the cricket club and Primrose Hospice, who helped care for Simon.

Tim Grogan, one of the organisers, said: "Feckfest is a great little festival and a perfect setting for people to come and chill out.

"Apart from the cricket, there's plenty to entertain the crowds. They'll be a Pimms and Prosecco Bar running all day together with a real ale and cider festival.

"People can also take advantage of an all day BBQ, while they'll be vintage tea, ice creams plus a coffee and cake caravan available."

He added: "We've also got face painting, zorbing, a bouncy castle and sweet stall to keep the children entertained."

Tickets for the event cost £6 adults and £1 for children or alternatively there's a family ticket costing £12.
