TRANSPORT cops have issued an image of a man they want to speak to following an incident of racial abuse on a Midlands train.

British Transport Police are making the appeal after complaints were received about a group of men on the 5.45pm Birmingham New Street to Redditch train on Sunday February 15 who were making loud racist remarks.

PC Daniel Hoskin said passengers challenged four men about their behaviour and he added: “One of the men reacted to this by making more racist comments and aggressively challenging offended passengers to confront him about his behaviour.”

Officers later received a report from a passenger who witnessed the incident.

PC Hoskin added: “We are working hard to identify those responsible.

“I believe the man in the image has information about what took place.”
