A REDDITCH man is to stand trial after he denied having a handgun and carrying out robberies at two bookmakers in the town.
Leroy Morley, aged 40, of Salters Lane denies taking cash in a robbery at William Hill in Batchley Road, Redditch on April 18 this year and a similar offence at Coral bookmakers in Shakespeare Avenue, Redditch, two days later on April 20.
He also denied two further charges of being in possession of a firearm, namely a handgun, at the time of both alleged offences when he appeared at Worcester Crown Court.
He was remanded in custody and a date for a trial estimated at six days was set for October 17 this year.
