BATCHLEY will be bouncing with energy as residents let their hair down at their annual "Cool by the Pool" community event.
Attractions at this Saturday's (July 2) fun day include the "totally original, high energy" street entertainer Bruce Airhead with his enormous 6ft balloon.
A "Positive Activities" youth zone, climbing wall, live entertainment, children's fairground rides, Punch and Judy, bouncy castle and a variety of stalls will also be on offer at the event, held around Batchley Pools, off Willow Way, between 11am and 4pm.
It is all organised by the Batchley Support Group Redditch Communities (BSGRC), which aims to build up community participation, and admission is free.
Local talent is also encouraged to perform on stage and there are still spaces available for entertainers.
Anyone who fancies the chance to headline on the sound stage - or booking a stall - should contact the Batchley Support Group on 01527 457291 or Paul Woolcock, community development manager, on 07979 314083, email paulwoolcock@batchleysgroup.org.
