THERE were no recorded coronavirus-related deaths across Worcestershire's hospitals yesterday.

The latest figures, announced by the NHS today (May 24), show no Covid-related deaths in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust meaning its total stays at 806.

No newly recorded deaths at Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust means its total remains at 63, making the total in Worcestershire hospitals 869.

In all settings, which includes care homes and hospices, the total stays at 1,354.

Nationally, there were three deaths reported in the period covering from 4pm on May 22 to 4pm on May 23.

The Acute Hospitals Trust covers Worcestershire Royal Hospital, as well as the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.

The Health and Care NHS trust covers community hospitals and rehabilitation wards, including Worcester City Impatient Unit, Malvern Community Hospital, Evesham Community Hospital, Pershore Community Hospital, the Princess of Wales Community Hospital in Bromsgrove, Tenbury Community Hospital and the Wyre Forest Ward.
