AN Independent candidate standing in next month’s Redditch Borough Council elections is urging residents to not give up on local politics.

Juliet Brunner, Independent candidate for Matchborough and Iplsey, has served as the ward councillor for 19 years and has lived in Matchborough for 33 years.

Juliet said she believes that you can only serve a community if you live within in and have a real stake in what happens in the community.

“It’s so important for us all to take the time to learn about the important issues that affect us as a town, to see what decisions are being made in our name and understand fully what we can do to support or try to change those decisions if we are unhappy with them,” added Juliet.

If re-elected once again, Juliet said she would use her influence to ensure decisions made by the council benefit the residents of Matchborough and Ipsley.
