Officers in Redditch have thanked the public for their help after a life-saving defibrillator box was damaged in the Matchborough Centre.

Following the appeal, three boys, aged 13, 14, and 12 were interviewed in the hope of finding those responsible for the damage, which happened on the evening of October 29.

PC Jamie Clarke, who has been investigating the incident, said: "We would like to say a big thank you to members of the public who stepped forward and gave us information about the damage to the vital defibrillator box at the Matchborough Centre.

"This incident was understandably of real concern to the local community as it was put in place to help save people's lives.

"We are pleased to say that because of the appeal in which CCTV footage was shared, three boys were interviewed.

"Following an admission in interview, a community resolution will be issued to the person responsible. A boy aged 12."
