An eighties pop icon is set to take to the stage in Redditch as part of his most intimate tour ever.

The charismatic and flamboyant frontman of New Romantics ABC, Martin Fry, has enjoyed worldwide success throughout his career and is now set to hit the road again this autumn.

Performing hit songs from Poison Arrow to The Look of Love, the singer will also share personal stories with fans of more than four decades in the music industry and answer questions from the audience.

Martin Fry said: "I have been very lucky in my career to have played venues around the world from massive arenas in the States to Sheffield Town Hall in my hometown where we marked 40 years of The Lexicon of Love.

"But this tour really is something a bit different, an opportunity for stripped-back music and conversation with my fans. It will be really special, I can't wait."

The tour kicks off at the Carnegie Hall in Workington on Wednesday, October 9 with the frontman coming to The Palace Theatre in Redditch on Wednesday, October 16.

Tickets go on sale today (Thursday, January 25) at 10am with ticket information and full tour dates available at www.awaywithmedia.com/tours
