Three people have been arrested following a firearm incident in Redditch. 

West Mercia Police said a 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder today (Friday, March 29).

Two further people, a man aged 48 and a woman aged 20, have also been arrested on suspicion of preventing the course of justice. 

All three remain in police custody. 

The arrests are connected to an incident on Tuesday (March 26) when a firearm was discharged on Ombersley Close. 

North Worcestershire local policing commander, Superintendent Melanie Paley, said: "Although three have been arrested in connection with the incident, we continue to appeal for witnesses and ask anyone who saw the indent or who have doorbell/CCTV footage to come forward."
