REDDITCH HDA A retained their South Warwickshire Summer Tennis League Junior Cup title after beating their team-mates from the B side in the final last week.
Champions Felix Gill and Joseph Morris celebrated their success while commiserating with a brave performance by club-mates Josh Turner and Noel Watters in this 12-years-and- under competition.
HDA A had reached the final the last four years, losing the first two and winning in 2013.
However, this was B team’s first appearance in the final and they were without key performer Morgan French, who was away on holiday.
While hard fought, the result was a one-sided match as Morris and Gill overcame their club-mates 6-1, 6-2 to lift the trophy.
Both teams were presented with individual trophies by Wildmoor Tennis League president Tony King and HDA A with the Junior Champions Cup.
They were also presented a cheque for £50 to help develop their club’s junior section.
