ALCESTER Nomads recorded a routine win over Swingers in the Studley Skittles League.
Nomads could even afford to score their lowest team total this season and lose the first leg but recovered well enough to stretch their lead at the top of the table.
Early league leaders Chris and Gerry Show slipped badly in mid-season but have got their act together again to edge into fourth spot thanks to scoring their highest team total this season when beating Alley Cats.
Team BG are riding high having also made their season’s highest team total.
It meant a comfortable win over Swan, who won the first leg but then succumbed to excellent bowling from Team BG’s Carl Baker (41), Ray Cartwright (37) and 36 each for Gail Stringer and Maggie Reynolds.
Jumbo Jet Set produced yet another disappointing score as they went down to Well Developed.
Lodge Farmers lost to Engineers, despite Tim Jones scoring his team’s highest individual score 45.
