REDDITCH'S Trystan Finocchiaro bagged two podium places at Mallory Park in round four of the East Midland Racing Association Championship.
The young rider had qualified in third place in the Reve Racing Lightweight class with his Aprilia RRV450gp despite lack of testing at the circuit.
After a good start, he found himself behind championship leaders Paul Westerdale and Andy Gill.
Thewild card Trystan consolidated second place, finishing four seconds behind the winner and overhauling an impressive nine second gap from third place man Gill.
In race two, intermittent showers affected riders but Finocchario opted for front wet weather tyre and dry at the back to compromise with the uncertain weather conditions.
With the track drying, he Trystan managed to maintain his third place on the grid throughout.
