ALCESTER dropped two points in the Wildmoor Spa Men's Tennis League after they were held to a 2-2 draw by fourth placed Ardencote Manor.

Defending champions Stratford-on-Avon open their biggest lead ever at this stage of the season with a 3-1 win over Claverdon.

Studley's clash with Evesham was called off.

In Division One, HDA Redditch with 33 points opened up a 12 points gap at the top of the table thanks to a 4-0 victory over Ardencote B who dropped to fifth with this result.

Alcester B moved up to second spot after defeating equal fifth Littleton (19) 3-1, while Pershore (20) moved up to fourth place with a 3-1 result over bottom of Division One Studley B.

The close battle for the Division Two title and promotion continued between Chipping Campden A, Inkberrow A (32) and Stratford B.

Inkberrow kept up the pressure with 4-0 battering of relegation placed Studley B.

Henley B beat mid-table Inkberrow B 3-1 in Division Three, while Shipston A overcame HDA B Redditch 3-.

Alcester C who were awarded a 4-0 walkover Ilmington who failed to field a team.

The match between the bottom two teams Inkberrow C and Claverdon C was postponed due to rain.

In Division Four, the clash between fifth-placed HDA C Redditch was rained off.

Finally, in Division Five Bidford-on-Avon A opened up an eight point-lead by comfortably beating previously second placed side Warwickshire County Council 4-0.

Bidford B leaped back into second spot on 24 points after they had a 3-1 win at the expense of joint third Wildmoor Spa B.

Evesham B also joined Warwickshire County Council and Wildmoor Spa B in equal third place thanks to their 4-0 win over seventh placed HDA D Redditch.
