ALCESTER produced their best display of the season to beat Straford's Second XV 42-10 in a game of two contrasting halves.
Hooker Tom Harris, No.8 Phil Birks and flanker Ben Hope returned to the Alcester ranks and their presence made a big difference.
Stratford led 10-0 at half time thanks to a couple of tries but the second half proved a completely different story as Alcester went in front following a couple of tries from skipper Jack Green, both of which were converted by Hope.
Tries then followed at regular intervals, Lewis Walker scoring twice while fly half Josh O'Connor and winger Ollie Morrison also crossed the line.
Hope converted four of the tries with Green kicking the extras for the final two scores.
Alcester return to league action this Saturday when they host close neighbours Claverdon for a second time this season.
Alcester will be out for revenge having lost to Claverdon in the Warwickshire Shield.
The Second XV were bolstered by some guest players from Claverdon but lost to a strong Pershore side 84-24.
