Studley got back to winning ways after going out of two cups. This was Newent’s first trip to the Beehive but they were comprehensively beaten.

Studley with new signing Sam Jackson and Ben Birch in the team were quick out the blocks and had the ball in the net after 3mins only for it to be ruled out for offside.

Studley did take the lead on 20mins through recent signing Sean Brain only to be pegged back almost immediately when Newent centre forward scored with a good lob over the keeper.

The Bees retook the lead on the half hour when top scorer Alfie Bloomer scored from the edge of the box.

Then on the stroke off halftime Sam Jackson scored on his debut from about a tap in after good work by Bloomer, giving Studley a 3-1 half time lead.

The second half was one way traffic with Newent unable to put their stamp on the game and Studley scored further goals through Brain and Beach and also missing a host of chances.

Final score Studley FC 5-1 Newent Town.
