Studley continued  their relentless pursuit for promotion with another clean sheet and four more goal with a victory at Newent Town.

Newent were the faster starter and forced several corners early on, although nothing came of them.

The Bees took the lead against the run of play on 13mins when Ben Welsh headed in at the back post from a Cresswell corner.

From this moment Studley started to take control of the game  and Newent were finding it difficult to make their mark on the game.

Studley continued to press and worked the Town keeper on several occasions but did not add to the score until just before when after good work by Robbie Bunn, skipper Carter scored from 10 yards out.

The second half started much as the first ended with Studley on top.

The third goal arrived on 57 mins when centre half Jake Donnelly scored his third goal in three game with a nonchalant flick which deceived the keeper.

Studley were now seeing the game out and Newent were unable to make an impact.

With the game coming to it’s conclusion Danny Carter added his second and The Bees fourth with a cracking goal with a strike from 20 yards finding the top corner.

Next Game Saturday 12/3/22  away at Cirencester Development. Kick off 3pm.
