"With a great running route on traffic-free roads, as well as activities for families and non-runners it should be a great day for Worcestershire."

Councillor Adam Kent, Worcestershire County Council’s cabinet member for corporate services and Communication, said: "It’s a real coup for us to be working with Steve, a world-class sportsman, bringing this innovative and exciting event to Worcestershire, creating new opportunities for individuals and families to have fun and live active lives.

"The event is designed to be a festival of fitness and fun."

Sue Baxter, Bromsgrove District councillor and chair of the Wythall Community Association, said: "Wythall Community Association is thrilled to host the Wythall and Hollywood Fun Run and it’s fantastic that proceeds from the event will come back into the Association for future initiatives."

The event will be paired with a fun day organised by Wythall Community Association, featuring food stalls, entertainment and a range of taster sessions.

Primrose Hospice has been chosen as the official charity partner, with runners encouraged to fundraise for causes within the community.
