Amid a UK-wide wrestling surge, a former WWE champion is set to visit Redditch for an upcoming show.

British Kingdom Pro Wrestling (BKPW) will host a night of hard-hitting matches featuring the likes of former WWE Cruiserweight and tag team champion Brian Kendrick and Ben-K of Dragon Gate in Japan.

With wrestling now available to view on ITV and crowds of over 70,000 not unheard of in the UK, the promotion is hoping to capitalise on the industry's boom with its 'Dawn of the Kingdom' event, which awaits fans at Arrow Vale Sports Centre on Sunday (April 28).

In the main event, Kendrick will team up with Brit Saime Sahin to take on Ben-K and Tiger Ali.

Also on the card is Chris Ridgeway vs Mochizuki Jr, Curt Atlas vs Eddie Ryan, and JD Knight vs Jordan Sparkes.

Promoters say the British wrestlers participating in this programme are eager to prove their worth and uphold the high standard of British wrestling.

Ticket prices start at £10, with multiple family discounts available.

The event is set to start at 3.30pm, with doors opening thirty minutes earlier.
